Reducing lawn clipping waste thanks to balanced nutrient supply
To greenskeepers, grass clippings amount to a waste of time (when they have to manage the waste), lack of esthetic quality and risks of thatch buildup. Studies carried out by Phalippou-Frayssinet (see Fertitests) have shown that for a same yearly supplied amount of nitrogen, organic fertilizers (of EVER type) could reduce aerial biomass yield by 50% compared with time-delay mineral fertilizers. Nebraska University (USA) and the Bingley institute have reached the same conclusions in favor of organic fertilizers, namely more moderate growth with better controlled foliar production, particularly early in season. You will get identical results, avoid erratic growth and will reduce mowing frequencies.
